Position Overview
Our client is looking for a Team Lead who will be responsible for leading a new R&D team in Prague. The team will consist of 5-7 senior developers focused on developing one of the company's products. The Team Lead will initially spend 60-70% of their time coding, which will decrease as the team becomes established. This role involves managing developers, assigning tasks, and coaching team members.
As a Team lead you will:
- Lead a team of 5-7 senior developers.
- Develop and integrate one of the company's products.
- Spend 60-70% of the time coding initially.
- Manage, assign tasks, and coach team members.
- Work within a group dedicated to specific product development.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- 7+ years in software development overall.
- 2+ years in team leadership specifically, including assigning tasks and coaching.
- Experience with Java for at least 5 years (Critical Must Have).
- Experience with Springboot for 3-4 years (Critical Must Have).
- Experience with Microservices for 3-4 years (Critical Must Have).
- Experience with API development for 2-3 years (Critical Must Have).
- Public cloud experience, preferably with AWS, for 2-4 years (Critical Must Have).
- Solid experience with Docker.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Bonus points if you:
- Have knowledge or experience: React, Typescript
- AWS experience - very nice to have
- Speak Czech - not mandatory, very nice to have
Time Zone / Working Hours
This is a 2 days remotely 3 days in the office onsite role located in Prague - Czech Republic.
Our client has 1,000 people globally, and is establishing the new R&D team in Prague.
