I began my career as a software developer ten years ago. I began because I was already familiar with computers in general - and I'd been interested in computers since I was a teenager. Furthermore, the market was thriving even ten years ago, which is why I began working as a developer. I enjoyed the work and haven't stopped since.

The opportunity to grow remotely was important because in Brazil, in order to advance in your career, you must relocate to a larger city. I was lucky because even before the pandemic, I worked remotely. But I wanted to learn more about the English language, join a global development team, and gain exposure to the type of clients and services offered in the United States or Europe.

My first contact with Flatworld was on LinkedIn. I think I saw one of their ads and thought “Hmm, let's see what this is about”

I think the process was very smooth and considerate. For example, I had a problem with my code test: I wasn't feeling well on the day I took the test, so I had to step away from my computer for a few minutes, Flatworld took that into account when assessing my code test.  The platform for the test was excellent, my first call was cool, and the entire process was efficient and quick.

It's actually funny because while I was going through the Flatworld process, another company reached out and said they'd pay me through a platform called Deel. And I was like, "Oh my god, this is real, and people are using it." Jokes aside, better compensation is one thing, and despite the fact that the company is still in its early stages, it is already massive and rapidly expanding. It's a truly global and remote company.

Yes, Definitely. The biggest selling point is the speed. It's a really fair and fast process.
